American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Progressive Care RN for a Float Pool role in Vermont. Requires trauma Level 1 teaching facility experience and cardiology post-cath expertise.

You will float across multiple progressive care units, including cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology, with a 12-hour shift and 36 hours weekly. Qualified candidates hold VT or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EPIC experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (VT or compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications and NIHSS required prior to start.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a Trauma Level 1 teaching facility.
• Cardiology post-cath experience including STEMI and structural heart patients.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RN supporting progressive care units including cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology.
• Flex to other units such as hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, and neurology.
• Work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with rotating days/nights.
• Schedule spans Mon–Sun with at least every other weekend.
• Provide direct patient care across multiple progressive care units within a central float pool.
• Reliable transportation recommended due to limited public transit access.

Requirements

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience at a large Trauma Level 1, academic teaching facility required
• Cardiology experience required, including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart patients
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Responsibilities

• Float Pool position supporting Progressive Care units including cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, urology, and cardiology
• May float to additional units including hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, general surgery, neurology (including neuro SDU), neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night), 36 hours per week
• Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• Must be flexible with scheduling, including a minimum of every other weekend
• Bi-weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Provide direct patient care across multiple progressive care specialty units as part of a central float pool
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit access
• Accepts local candidates
