Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Travel RN to join the Telemetry/Direct Observation Unit in Chandler, AZ. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, on 12-hour night shifts, ASAP start. The 16-bed unit handles chest pain and post-procedural patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements include active RN license (state or compact), 2+ years acute care experience, and certifications ACLS/BLS/NIHSS. Cerner EMR used; traveler coverage expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact) required at the time of consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience within the past 6 months.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 24-48 hours of offer (maximum 2 attempts)

Responsibilities

• Work in a 16-bed Observation/Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital.
• Patient population includes chest pain, post heart cath, stable pre-CABG, and post-procedure patients.
• Float is required to tele/med-surg floors and may float to a sister facility.
• Cerner EMR is used; Cerner experience preferred.
