American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with at least one year of tele experience for a night-shift position on a heavy neuro unit at a Level II Trauma Center.

Requirements include active WA state or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, and Epic EMR experience. The role involves night hours, neuro-focused care, and a Level II teaching hospital environment.

Qualificações

• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management.

Responsabilidades

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Telemetry unit with a heavy neurology patient population.
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5.
• Floating between units required.
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• 48-hour work weeks approved.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, teaching hospital setting.
• Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown nursing care, including cardiac monitoring and management of post-surgical neurology patients.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation as needed.

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with at least one year of tele experience for a night-shift position on a heavy neuro unit at a Level II Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience preferred but not required; must be willing to learn a heavy neuro caseload
• Comfortable using the NIH Stroke Scale and caring for post-surgical neurology patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac) preferred
• Experience with craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• No parking fees at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered for the local rate; those outside this radius may be eligible for the travel rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
