Job summary
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry for an IMC Medical-Surgical unit in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role requires NM or Compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS, with a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment.
The unit cares for post-cardiac cath and post-surgical patients and uses high-risk medications; travel nurses receive competitive weekly pay and lodging/meal stipends as part of the package.
Qualifications

- Current BLS certification from AHA required.
- Current ACLS certification from AHA required.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

- Work in the IMC Med-Surgical A unit of a hospital setting
- Care for post cardiac cath and post surgical patients
- Manage patients on high-risk medications including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
- Treat respiratory patients on NIPPV support such as BiPAP and AIRVO
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full-time, 13-week assignment
- Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Current ACLS certification from AHA required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served
- Perform initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Perform various point of care testing procedures
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
