Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for night shifts in Greensburg, PA. Requires PA or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and Cerner experience. Travel nursing with a 3x12 schedule and 1:6 patient ratio.

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, wound care, PPE protocols, and unit/facility floating within a 10-mile radius. Local candidates not accepted, holidays required, and pre-start screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (PA or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Strong IV therapy and vascular access skills
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience
• Wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocol experience
• Covariate requirements include SSN, DOB, RTO, and driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Work every other weekend
• Patient ratio 1:6
• Floating within hospital and to sister facilities within 10 miles
• Travel during shift to available units as needed
• Cover every other holiday
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
• Manage wound care and PPE protocols
• Care for patients with CVA, seizures, spinal cord injuries, and withdrawal
• Must reside >50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
• Past permanent employees must have 2-year separation before agency reapplication
• Travelers limited to one year within system, then two-year break
• Complete fingerprinting, drug screen, and labs within 24–48 hours of signing
• Complete pre-start orientation modules (~1 hour) before starting

• Cerner charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response protocols
• Documents required for consideration: SSN, DOB, RTO, and driver's license

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates not accepted
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before applying through an agency
• Travelers are limited to one cumulative year within the health system, followed by a required two-year break before returning
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• Pre-start orientation modules (approximately 1 hour) must be completed before starting
