Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry/PCU nurse for a 3x12 night shift in Greensburg, PA. You will provide bedside care for cardiac and telemetry patients, monitor rhythms, manage medications, and respond to emergencies.

The role requires a PA or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year of telemetry experience, plus prior travel nursing. Cerner EMR experience is preferred, with potential floating within a 10-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Active PA or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/PCU nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Skills in IV therapy and blood product administration.
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tubes.
• Two supervisor references preferred.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit with a mix of Med-Surg Telemetry and PCU patients.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1.
• Cerner charting system preferred.
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed.
• Every other holiday coverage required.
• Provide bedside nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients, including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response.
• Manage patients with cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
• Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed.
