Responsibilities
- Perform bedside and hourly rounding with 5 P's checked.
- Document telemetry application and rhythm strips each shift.
- No Pass Zone policy enforced for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms.
- Dress code: RN in navy scrubs, CNA/PCT in ceil blue scrub sets with optional jacket.
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position requiring ACLS and prior cardiac telemetry experience on night shift.
- 30-bed Cardiac Stepdown unit on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building
- Patient ratio of 5-6:1
- Unit staffed with unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCTs day and night, nursing supervisor, and hospitalists
- Uses Welch Allyn vitals monitors, Novameter glucose monitors, and Philips telemetry and MP2 monitors
- Documents in Meditech (HCA version)
- Medications managed via WOW carts with med drawers and Pyxis ES dispensing system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Scheduling requires working every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
- Floating required to other Med/Surg areas including general MS, Ortho, PCU, and MS surgical with oncology unless skill mix is needed
- Active RN license (TN or compact) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips required

- Charge nurses on unit have 12 to 39 years of seniority on dayshift and 15+ years on nightshift
- Facility promotes shared governance across units
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
