Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced Stepdown/Intermediate Care RN for a dedicated Stroke Unit position in Evansville, IN. You will care for medically complex patients in a 30-bed Stroke Unit with telemetry, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience and IN or compact RN license.

Shift is Days, 3x12hrs (36 hrs/wk). Assignment is 13 weeks starting Oct 4, 2026, with potential extension opportunities. BLS/ACLS and Nursys verification are required before start.

Qualifications

• Active IN or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a medically complex stepdown population including stroke patients.
• Work in a 30-bed dedicated Stroke Unit within a Stepdown Intermediate Care setting.
• Manage diverse patient conditions across Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma and Surgery cases.
