Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse for rural Critical Access Hospitals across Iowa. You will deliver bedside nursing care, work with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, evidence-based practices in diverse community settings.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in acute care settings; rural healthcare experience is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per established protocols and standards.
• Assess patients’ conditions and implement evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and prevention.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Thrives in a dynamic rural healthcare environment and adapts to varying resources.
