Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Rehab RN for a night shift in an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role requires Cerner EHR experience, an active VA or Compact RN license, and at least one year of RN experience with IRF/Med-Surg exposure.

The position operates 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with every other weekend rotation. Trainees must be comfortable in a 14-28 bed IRF, work alongside a transdisciplinary team, and comply with the unit's dress code and policy on external employment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license VA or Compact required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience; no new graduates.
• IRF and Med-Surg experience required.
• Cerner EHR experience required.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting on a 14-28 bed unit.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend rotation required.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating requirements.
• Patient population includes adults with stroke, brain injury, amputation, multi-trauma, hip fracture, spinal cord injury, debility, and cardiac conditions.
• RN to patient ratio of 6:1.
• Uses Cerner EHR and Omnicell equipment.
• Work within a transdisciplinary team model in a collaborative team environment.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Report time is 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM depending on shift.
• Unit is expanding to a second location on the same floor.
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
