Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics unit. The role requires an MA RN license and at least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience.

The position is in an inpatient unit with a night shift schedule and a 36-hour workweek, involving float opportunities to NICU/PICU and occasional weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient pediatric unit serving neonates to age 21.
• A 45-bed unit serving diverse medical, surgical, oncology, trauma, orthopedic, and behavioral health diagnoses.
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5.
• Night shift 7pm–7:30am, 3×12 hours, totaling 36 hours/week.
• Floats to PICU, NICU, and Continuing Care Nursery.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday are required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team across diverse diagnoses and acuity levels.

• May float to Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, and Continuing Care Nursery
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary care team supporting a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels
