Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Apheresis RN for a pediatric infusion center in Illinois. A current IL RN license and prior apheresis experience are required. This travel assignment offers extended 10-hour shifts, with on-call weekends and a strong emphasis on patient safety for pediatric patients.

You will perform ECP, RCX and PLEX procedures using Spectra Optia and Therakos CellEX equipment, with a supportive team and competitive compensation. Travel-friendly benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Apheresis RN
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• COVID and flu vaccinations required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from within the last year

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Infusion Center performing apheresis procedures
• Pediatric patient population preferred
• Performs ECP, RCX, and PLEX procedures
• Uses Spectra Optia and Therakos CellEX equipment
• 10-hour day shift schedule, 4 days weekly, Monday-Friday flexible, 7:30a-5p
• Weekend requirement limited to on-call coverage, 1 week of call every 3rd week
• No floating or charge responsibilities required
• Provide apheresis nursing care within a pediatric infusion center setting
• RTO max of 10 days, with any additional time off made up by extending the contract end date
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate as travelers
• Returning employees must have a gap of at least one year since their last assignment
• Returning travelers must have a gap of at least 45 days since their last assignment
• No block scheduling permitted
