Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift at a leading academic teaching hospital in California. CA license and PALS are required; BSN is mandatory.

The role demands PICU expertise, teaching-hospital experience, and strong Epic charting proficiency. CVICU exposure and travel assignment history are highly valued for candidates.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required (no temporary license accepted).
• BSN required.
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS (ACLS preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required, preferably in a Level I trauma hospital.
• Teaching hospital experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• CVICU experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of an academic teaching hospital.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30).
• 4-5 weekends required per 4-week schedule.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Care for critically ill pediatric patients including respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, neurologic, and GI cases.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must be cleared by Talent Management before consideration, with RNs requiring a 12-month separation.
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity, as either a career employee or contractor, are not eligible.
