Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Arizona.
• Pediatric open-heart surgical experience required.
• Strong pediatric cardiac nursing experience.
• Experience with pediatric neurological, orthopedic and general surgical cases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric surgical environment.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, call, and float assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular and other surgical procedures.
• Assist with pediatric open-heart surgeries and complex cardiac procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain safety throughout surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support pediatric cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, general surgery, and trauma cases.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection prevention standards.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital protocols.
