A travel opportunity is available for an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist supporting a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment in Mesa, AZ. This assignment requires strong pediatric cardiac and broad surgical experience, including Level I Trauma exposure.
Assignment Highlights

Responsibilities
- Provide surgical technologist support during cardiovascular and open-heart procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instrumentation.
- Anticipate surgical team needs throughout procedures.
- Support pediatric cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, general, and trauma cases as assigned.
- Follow department standards for patient safety, sterile technique, and surgical workflow.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years overall experience, including at least 1 year in the specialty.
- Strong Pediatric CVOR / pediatric cardiac experience required.
- Strong Peds Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, General, and Level I Trauma experience required.
- Current BLS.
- Traveler must live more than 50 miles from the assignment.
- Arizona Driver's License holders are not eligible for Arizona Banner assignments.
- Former Banner employees must meet the required 365-day separation period.
- 40 hours/week.
- Day shift, approximately 6:40 AM – 5:10 PM.
- Weekends and holidays may be required.
- Call and floating are required according to department guidelines.
- RTO: none during the first 2 weeks; maximum 7 days total and only 1 holiday.
