Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel RN for the PCU in Washington, DC. The role is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and a focus on stepdown cardiac care.

You’ll provide care transitioning patients from ICU to medical-surgical units, monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Start date 10/12/2026.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Aids physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and assessment for telemetry patients.
• Responds to life-saving situations per hospital protocols.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
