Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU — Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. Start date 10/05/2026; 36 hours per week on nights, 12-hour shifts. Travel role with benefits and competitive pay.

The Stepdown RN will monitor telemetry, administer meds, assist in procedures, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred: PCCN Certification.
• Preferred: NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry and vital signs.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Aids physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains safety of telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and communicates with team.
• Responds to cardiac emergencies.
• Documents nursing history and assessments.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health.
