Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel RN in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13-week assignment in San Diego, CA. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, caring for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical settings.
The role requires an active RN license in California, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of stepdown experience. This is a travel position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
- Current valid RN license in California.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and vital signs; respond to abnormalities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.
- Assist with cardiac procedures and equipment preparation.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort on telemetry patients.
- Document assessments and communicate with supervising staff.
- Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
