Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Hazard, Kentucky. The Stepdown RN will provide specialized care as patients transition from ICU to medical-surgical units, with a 12-hour night shift and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

The role requires one year of Stepdown RN experience, an active Kentucky RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred. Strong telemetry skills, critical thinking, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current RN license in good standing per state regulations.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PCCN and NIHSS are preferred certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and exams.
• Educate patients about cardiac health and risk factors.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort; ensure accurate documentation.
