Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel PCU RN for a 13-week assignment in Louisville, KY. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and involves 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour weekly schedule.

As a PCU nurse, you will monitor cardiac and vital signs, manage medications, and perform IV starts while providing close patient observation in a step-down setting. BLS/NIH certification is expected, with travel benefits and competitive pay applicable.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS and NIH certifications required.
• 12-hour night shifts during a 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiopulmonary patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications with monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Monitor patient equipment and interpret electronic displays for timely interventions.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
