Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 26-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. The nurse will provide care transitioning patients from ICU to medical-surgical units, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Requirements include one year of Stepdown RN experience, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications may enhance candidacy.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification and NIHSS Certification may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Aids physician during cardiac-related procedures and exams.
• Maintains telemetry patient comfort and safety.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education focused on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
• Adheres to safety and infection control standards.
