Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN for a 13-week Stepdown assignment in Virginia Beach, VA. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and 1 year of Stepdown experience.

You will monitor telemetry, administer therapies, and collaborate with the care team on cardiac patient care. Benefits include first-day medical coverage, PTO after 1560 hours, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, licensure/CEU reimbursements, and recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience required.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data, detects abnormalities and responds.
• Administers prescribed meds with a focus on cardiac care.
• Supports cardiac procedures and examinations with the physician.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and telemetry monitoring.
• Documents assessments, notifies physicians of status changes.
• Educates patients on cardiac health and lifestyle modification.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
• Upholds infection control and safety protocols.
