Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Stepdown) in Alexandria, VA for a 12-week assignment. Start date 10/12/2026 with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Travel employment with competitive pay and robust benefits.

The role requires one year of Stepdown experience, active RN license in Virginia, and BLS/ACLS certifications. PCCN or NIHSS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in VA per state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administers medications and treatments per nursing techniques focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
