Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Roanoke, VA. You will care for patients transitioning from ICU to hospital units, monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

Monitors and interprets telemetry data, vital signs, and rhythm abnormalities, and responds promptly.
Administers medications and treatments per nursing protocols, focusing on cardiac care.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and exams.
Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
Documents patient status and communicates changes to the supervisor or physician.
