Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Louisville, KY. This travel role offers 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, and competitive pay with comprehensive benefits.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data and respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
