Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU—Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, IN. The role involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, caring for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units with telemetry.

Requirements include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active Indiana RN license, BLS and ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS certifications are preferred. Join a supportive clinical team and enjoy a competitive pay package and benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and cardiac rhythms to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines
