Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel RN for PCU in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This 18-week assignment, 36 hours per week, includes night shifts and a 12-hour schedule. The PCU nurse provides monitoring, bedside care, and medication administration for intermediate acuity patients.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, NIH with 2 years of RN experience; travel experience preferred. Benefit-rich travel package offered by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• PCU/step-down RN certification or experience preferred.
• Travel RN experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and vital signs.
• Initiate corrective actions when monitoring indicates adverse events.
