Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This PCU Travel Nurse role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

You will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, including use of monitor systems and IV therapy. The position offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, nights, in a travel capacity.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and adjust care as needed.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
