Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an RN for a PCU travel assignment in Henrico, Virginia. The role covers a 13-week period with 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts in the Progressive Care Unit. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

The position requires travel and offers a tax-free stipend and benefits. The PCU nurse uses monitoring equipment to track cardiac status and vital signs, intervening as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license required and current.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• 1 year of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Travel assignment with 13 weeks duration and 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 12-hour nights; travel RN position.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays; respond to changes.
• Assist with transferring and coordinating patient care as needed.
