Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, AZ. The Stepdown RN will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts in a planning unit, providing care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units.

Requirements include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, BLS and ACLS; PCCN and NIHSS are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered through Fusion Medical Staffing.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets patient telemetry and vital signs; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards
• Assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety, especially telemetry patients
• Documents patient status and communicates changes to supervisor or physician
• Ensures infection control and safety protocols are followed
