Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Louisville, Kentucky. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment; 1-2 years acute care experience preferred; 13-week assignment, 36 hours/week, 12-hour day shifts in Louisville, KY.

Travel nurses should be able to handle fast-paced environments and complex medication regimens while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience required or preferred.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification may be required.
• Travel RN environment and PCU experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
