Job summary

TotalMed RN in Louisville, KY is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment. The PCU (Progressive Care Unit) RN will work 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications. The role requires close patient monitoring, IV starts, medication administration, and rapid response to changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH (NIHSS) certification may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor and titrate IVs and administer prescribed medications.
• Monitor patients with cardiac and vital-sign monitoring equipment and report changes.
