Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13-week assignment in Spokane, Washington. Start date: 10/19/2026. Schedule includes 36 hours per week of 12-hour day shifts.

The role offers travel benefits and comprehensive support from Fusion Medical Staffing. As a Stepdown RN, you will assess and care for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, monitor cardiac status, administer treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and maintain equipment readiness.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
