Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Pre-Admission Testing/Pre-Op RN in a remote call-center style role supporting surgical patients. The position requires 1-2 years of PAT or Pre-Anesthesia experience and active Epic experience.

This role focuses on phone and chart-review workflows rather than direct patient care, handling about 9 patient calls per day. You will use Epic EMR, Epic Chat, multiple email platforms, and Google Drive.

Qualifications

• Active WA or Compact RN license required.
• 1-2 years of PAT, Pre-Anesthesia, Pre-Admission Testing, or Pre-Op experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• CAPA certification and triage experience preferred.
• Strong documentation, multitasking, and communication skills required.
• Comfort using multiple technology platforms in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctual, accountable, and dependable work style.

Responsibilities

• Centralized call center environment supporting approximately 7 facilities (not bedside).
• Pre-Admission Testing/Pre-Op role focused on phone and chart-review workflow rather than direct patient care.
• Handles approximately 9 patient calls per day reviewing readiness for surgery and anesthesia.
• Reviews medications, hold times, NPO instructions, skin preparation, arrival instructions, and outstanding risk assessments.
• Uses Epic EMR along with Epic Chat, multiple email platforms, and Google Drive.
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (occasionally extending to 5:00/5:30 PM), 40 hours per week.
• No weekend, holiday, or call requirements.
• No traditional unit floating due to remote, multi-facility support model.
• Assess surgical patients' readiness for anesthesia and procedures via phone and chart review.
• Communicate pre-procedure instructions clearly to patients.
• Unit/department orientation lasts 2-3 weeks.
• Business casual or scrubs acceptable; no open-toed shoes, tank tops, or distressed jeans.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
