Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Anesthesia Care unit night shift position in Maine. The role requires at least 2 years PACU experience, Maine or Compact RN license, BLS and AHA certifications, and a valid driver's license.

The assignment lasts 16 weeks with optional extension based on performance. Responsibilities include providing post-anesthesia care in a PACU setting, with 6:00 PM–6:00 AM shifts and Epic EMR usage.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required.
• BLS and other AHA certifications required; non-AHA accepted at submission but AHA before start.
• Driver's License required for consideration.
• Two professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Surgery center setting within the PACU.
• 16-week contract assignment.
• Floating within a 25-mile radius as needed.
• Uses Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Surgery center setting within the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Night shift schedule, working 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• 16-week contract assignment
• Floating required within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients recovering from anesthesia
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
