Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a PACU/Recovery position in Birmingham, Alabama. The role requires 2-3 years of PACU experience and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

You will work a day shift (4x10s) in a 24-bed PACU unit with a 2:1 patient ratio, using Epic EMR. No call and no floating are required, and travel nurses are encouraged to apply.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a PACU/Recovery position requiring 2-3 years of PACU experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in the PACU/Recovery unit on the 1st floor of a hospital setting
• 24-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes ortho, neuro, general, and pediatric cases (no open hearts)
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (4x10s)
• No call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Alabama or Compact) currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 2-3 years of recent PACU experience required
• Critical care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to a diverse surgical patient population
• Team player with a passionate and professional demeanor
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
