American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Bay City, MI. The ideal candidate holds an active MI license and has at least 2 years of PACU experience.

Work in a 415-bed acute care hospital with day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, including weekends and on-call duties. Local travelers within 35 miles may receive pay adjustments.

Competenze

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted).
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required.

Mansioni

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a 415-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule with variable start times, 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• On-call responsibilities required
• 13-week assignment length
• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and level of consciousness during anesthesia recovery
• Manage airway patency and respond to respiratory distress
• Administer medications for pain, nausea, and post-operative symptom management
• Assess surgical sites, dressings, and overall patient condition for complications
• Communicate patient status and care plans with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
• Candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to local pay adjustments
