American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric Operating Room RN for a Level 1 trauma pediatric facility in Morgantown, WV. Requires 2+ years OR experience, active WV or Compact RN license, and BLS. Standby call with 30-minute response, rotating shifts, and travel eligibility are key aspects of the role.

You'll work in a high-volume pediatric OR with Epic EMR, benefit from a generous housing allowance and travel reimbursements, and interview directly with the unit manager.

Formación

• Scrubbing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Pediatric OR unit within an acute care facility attached to a Level 1 trauma center.
• Handle cases across 6 ORs and 1 procedural room with 15-28 cases per day.
• Perform procedures including tonsillectomies, hypospadias repair, rectus muscle surgery, craniotomy, cardiac, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Rotate shifts including evenings; 8- and 12-hour shifts.
• Midnight RN serves as Charge RN; rotate coverage for afternoons and weekends.
• One call shift per week plus 1–2 weekend calls; standby with 30-minute response.
• Rotating holidays; floating to 5N/1W and Children's units.

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Operating Room RN for a Level 1 trauma pediatric facility requiring 2 years of OR experience and call/weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes for standby call

Responsibilities

• Pediatric OR unit within an acute care facility attached to a Level 1 trauma center
• 6 operating rooms plus 1 procedural room handling 15-28 cases per day
• Common cases include tonsillectomies, hypospadias repair, rectus muscle surgery, craniotomy, cardiac, and orthopedic procedures
• Uses Epic EMR
• Rotating shifts including evenings, with 8-hour and 12-hour shift options
• Midnight RN serves as Charge RN
• Rotating coverage required for afternoons and weekends
• 1 call shift per week plus 1-2 weekend call shifts required
• Mandatory standby requirement with 30-minute response time
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required to 5N/1W and Children's units
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Perform pediatric OR nursing duties across a variety of surgical specialties
• 2-day orientation with checklist completion provided
• Scrubs are provided
• Interviews are conducted directly with the unit manager
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positions
• Previous permanent staff must wait 2 years before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who completed a full year must wait 2 years before returning
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than a year without taking a 2-year break; cumulative experience applies
• Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
