Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an Outpatient Surgery/Same Day Surgery position requiring OR circulation experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient Surgery department within a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital
• Day/Evening shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0640-1710
• No weekends or holidays required, with a rotating day off each week
• Floating required as needed
• Wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, general surgery, endoscopic, orthopedic, ophthalmology, urology, and ENT procedures
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Outpatient/OR specialty required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• OR circulation experience required
• Inpatient or ambulatory OR experience required
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Located at a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated academic medical center ranked #1 in Wisconsin
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Onsite parking requires a permit through UW Transportation, though bus and park & ride options are available
• All references must be removed prior to consideration
• Telemetry exam allows two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
