Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Work within the Surgical Services department of a regional hospital supporting a full spectrum of surgical specialties, including general elective and critical/life-saving procedures
- Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend call required, with day call shifts 7a-7p Saturday and Sunday and night call shifts 7p-7a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- On-call requirement includes one weeknight (Monday-Thursday) 7p-11p and one rotating weekend per month
- Holiday coverage assigned if not otherwise contracted off
Requirements
- Active RN license (Michigan license required, compact not accepted)
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN Operating Room experience required
- Experience in Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, or OB surgical specialties preferred
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application required for consideration
- Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required
Additional Information
- Provide direct surgical nursing care across a wide range of specialties including cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences
- Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing termination after three absences or late arrivals of more than 20 minutes
- Hospital-provided scrubs required for dress code
- Candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to a 10% rate reduction
- Former full-time employees of the health system are ineligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment

- Regular Hours: $33.00 x 40 hours/wk = $1,320
- Weekly Stipends: $1,246/wk
- Lodging: $110.00 x 7 days = $770
- Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476
- In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,400 - $2,566. The $2,566 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax‑free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer‑paid taxes and related costs.
