Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN First Assist for an Operating Room position at a teaching hospital. The candidate must hold CNOR and BSN, with a MA RN license in hand and a minimum of 2 years RN experience.

The role is a 13-week assignment with day shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), on-call rotation, and holiday coverage. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are provided, along with other benefits.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand required before consideration (no provisional, conditional, or temporary licensure)
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• CNOR certification required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• OR First Assist skills checklist current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference within past 2 years
• Meditech Expanse experience preferred
• Must have personal vehicle for assignment

Responsibilities

• Operate as First Assist in the OR on a 298-bed teaching hospital team
• Work day shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts
• Thirteen-week assignment with on-call rotated coverage
• Holiday coverage required if scheduled
• Provide First Assist support in the OR as part of the surgical team
• Facility scrubs provided
• Two holiday blocks required if scheduled
• Submit time-off requests in advance (max 5 days)
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of facility not considered
• Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation

• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have personal vehicle for this assignment

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit with 8 beds
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• On-call required by rotation
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Work as part of a surgical team providing First Assist support in the OR at a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Facility-provided scrubs
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Requested time off must be submitted and verified prior to assignment start, with a maximum of 5 days accepted
• Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
