Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring circulating skills and prior Level 1 or 2 trauma experience.

The position is night shift (3x12 hours, 1845-0615) on a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center OR unit, handling 60-70 cases per assignment with a heavy focus on Ortho, Spine and Neuro. Pyxis medication system and Epic charting are used.

Vaccination is required; local candidates are welcome with no radius restriction.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license or compact license accepted with WA requirements.
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience; 3-4 years preferred.
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required.
• Neuro surgical experience required.
• Circulating skills required.
• Epic charting experience required; scrub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center OR unit.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1845-0615.
• Handles 60-70 cases per assignment.
• Heavy focus on Ortho, Spine, and Neuro cases with exposure to other service lines.
• No Cardiac or Transplant cases.
• Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic charting system.
• Weekend work required with scheduling flexibility.
• No floating within the facility; no on-call; no block scheduling.
• Level 1 Trauma Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds.
• Facility provides scrubs; COVID vaccination and booster required.

• Holiday coverage restrictions apply, with limited RTO around major holiday periods, and working Christmas is highly preferred
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days total, with none permitted during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• Prior UW/Harborview staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
