Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital in Colorado. You will hold a CO or compact RN license and bring 2+ years of operating room experience.

The assignment features 12-hour days (Fri–Sun), 36 hours per week, and 13 weeks with scrubs provided. Travel housing and benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Active CO state or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Copy of driver’s license must be provided
• Two professional references from recent supervisors or colleagues with employment dates and eligibility for rehire

Responsibilities

• Operate in an OR with 17 surgical suites in a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Perform OR nursing duties for orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases
• Work 12-hour day shifts on a Fri–Sun schedule; 36 hours per week for 13 weeks

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring a CO or compact RN license and 2+ years of operating room experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit with 17 surgical suites in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
• Average of 35 weekday cases and 10 weekend cases performed
• Common case types include orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Friday through Sunday, weekend shifts run 7a-7p
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• No floating, on-call, or weeknight/weekend call requirements
• Holiday coverage required only if it falls on a regularly scheduled weekend shift
• 30-minute call response time required
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Scrubs provided by facility

Requirements

• Active CO state or Compact (NLC) RN license required, pending licenses not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Unit-specific orientation provided in addition to 12 hours of general orientation
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
• Travelers hired into this facility are subject to a float radius policy and are expected to secure housing that allows for floating within the zone if required
• Interview process includes a profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
