Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma and neuro experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level 2 trauma center.
The role requires CO or Compact RN license, BLS, 2+ years OR experience, and willingness to work weekends/holidays. Scrubs are provided; orientation and travel logistics are coordinated by the agency.
Qualifications
- Active CO or Compact RN license required.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required.
- Trauma and Neuro surgical experience required.
- Driver's license copy required for consideration.
- Two professional references (last 12 months / last 3 years) with eligibility details.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics.
- No scrubbing in required for RNs on this unit.
- Unit-specific orientation provided with 12 hours of orientation.
- Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week; travel considerations apply.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma and neuro experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level 2 trauma center.
- Level 2 trauma center OR with 16 suites averaging 30 cases per day
- Common cases include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics
- Uses Epic EMR
- Weekends and holidays required as needed, including 4th of July preference
- Call requirement of approximately 120 hours over the 13-week contract, in rotation with staff, with a 30-minute response time
- Floating within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) may be required only in cases of extreme need
- 2 OR techs on shift with charge nurse and house supervisor support
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics
- No scrubbing in required for RNs on this unit
- Unit-specific orientation provided, with 12 orientation hours required
- Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to meet radius requirements
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
