Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Illinois. Active IL RN license and at least 3 years of OR nursing experience required; Scrubbing required; BLS; 13-week assignment; evenings 5x8hrs; start ASAP.
You will work in a Level I trauma facility with 15 operating suites, handle 25–45 cases daily across multiple specialties; Epic EMR; shift 1445–2315 with variations; local candidates within 50 miles receive a reduced local rate;
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license required.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required.
- Scrubbing required for RNs.
- Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
Responsibilities
- Handle 25-45 cases per day across specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic.
- Evening shift schedule, 5x8hrs, 1445-2315; 8-hour shifts with start times (0645, 1045, 1445).
- Weekend and holiday call required, ~every 3rd to 4th weekend; weeknights ~once per week.
- Uses Epic EMR; Charge RN available 24/7; no patient assignments for charge RN.
- Support staff includes 1-2 surgical techs per patient and 3-4 CNAs during the day.

- Evening shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 1445-2315
- 8-hour shifts with various start times (0645, 1045, 1445)
- Weekend and holiday call required, approximately every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Weeknight call required approximately once per week
- No floating requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take a patient assignment
- Support staff includes 1-2 surgical techs per patient and 3-4 CNAs during the day (reduced to 1 by 7pm)
- Active IL RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- BSN not required
- Scrubbing required for RNs
- Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels
- Scrubs are provided; casual professional dress required when entering/leaving the facility
- Unit-specific orientation is 1 week
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced local rate
- No radius rule restricting eligibility
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
