Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room role in California. Require active CA RN license and da Vinci robotic surgery experience; BLS, PALS, ACLS are required.

The position features day shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with on-call Fridays and weekend call about every 5–6 weeks.

Local candidates welcome at travel rates; generous housing allowance and travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• Current PALS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required.
• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgery department within an acute care hospital setting.
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• On-call required on Fridays, alternating first and second call.
• Weekend call required approximately once every 5-6 weeks.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines.
• Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans.
• Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and evaluates patient progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment.
• Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members.
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered.
