Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced registered nurse for an Operating Room position in West Virginia. This role requires 2+ years of OR experience across multiple surgical specialties, and on‑call responsibilities.

Active WV or compact RN license, BLS, and a valid driver’s license are required. DaVinci Robot experience is strongly preferred. The unit features a Level 2 trauma setting with 11 rooms and ~65 cases daily, with travel housing and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience.
• Experience in all areas of the OR required.
• DaVinci Robot experience strongly preferred.
• Unexpired driver’s license copy required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Level 2 trauma acute care hospital setting.
• Operating Room unit with 11 total rooms: 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites.
• Approximately 65 cases per day, with 25 Endo cases.
• Cross‑training to Endo required.
• Handles all surgical case types except open hearts: vascular, general, ortho, neuro, eyes, ENT.
• Uses Baxter pumps, Philips and Dynomap equipment, and DaVinci Robot.
• EPIC EMR used.
• 4 10‑hour day shifts with weekends as scheduled.
• Call rotation: one weeknight call every 4 weeks (7p–7a) and one weekend shift call up to 24 hours/3 months.
• No prescreen interview for this unit.
• All candidates interview directly with the unit manager.
• Must reside within 50‑mile radius of the facility.
• Travelers previously employed at WVU locations must take a 2‑year break before reapplying.
• Travelers cannot work within WVU facilities for longer than a year cumulatively before requiring a 2‑year break.
• First‑time travelers are welcome to apply.
