Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN with OR experience for a rotating shift Operating Room position requiring ortho experience and VA or compact RN licensure. The role includes a two 12-hour and two 8-hour shift cycle, with weekend coverage and call rotations.

Housing and travel reimbursements are offered, and candidates must meet distance and corporate eligibility requirements. The facility is a demanding, full-service hospital with chest pain and stroke center designations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact license required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH.
• 1–2 years OR experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Ortho experience required.
• Motivated, proactive and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate in the Operating Room unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital.
• Care for a diverse age range with 1:1 patient ratios.
• Utilize Meditech EHR for charting and orders.
• Rotate two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts.
• Cover weekends as required, every other weekend or as needed.
• Participate in call rotations, mainly weekends with possible overnight weekday call.
• May float within scope of practice as needed.
• Support a Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center with comprehensive services.
• Uniform: navy blue scrubs provided by the hospital.
• Consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have served as permanent staff at LifePoint facilities in the last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.

• May be asked to float within scope of practice
• Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center with comprehensive surgical, cardiac, and oncology services
• Navy blue scrubs provided by the hospital

• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
