Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Operating Room assignment in Massachusetts. Active MA license required; expertise in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgeries preferred.

You will scrub and/or circulate across a Level I Trauma OR with diverse cases, 10-hour shifts, and on-call duties. Travel-friendly benefits include housing allowance, health insurance, and licensure reimbursements. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand.
• Experience in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgery.
• Scrub and/or circulate for general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma.
• Proof of flu vaccination during flu season and COVID vaccine with booster (exemptions as allowed).

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma OR with 10 operating rooms.
• Surgical case types include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplants.
• 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 40 hours/week over 13 weeks.
• Up to 2 weekends per month, on-call (7A-7P or 7P-7A) or shifting.
• On-call response time of 30 minutes.
• Primarily based at West Main campus with floating to East or CVI OR as needed.
• Scrub and/or circulate a wide variety of complex surgical procedures.
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays.
• Holiday coverage required during contract period.
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved in advance.
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

• Skills in scrubbing and/or circulating for general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
• Must provide proof of flu vaccination during flu season
• COVID vaccine plus booster required (medical exemptions allowed)

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma inpatient operating room consisting of 10 operating rooms
• Surgical case types include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplants
• 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 40 hours/week over 13 weeks
• Up to 2 weekends per month, either on-call (7A-7P or 7P-7A on Sat/Sun/holidays) or working shifts
• On-call response time of 30 minutes required
• Short call shift required once a week, either 3A-7A or 5P-9P
• Primarily based at West Main campus with floating to East or CVI OR as needed
• Scrub and/or circulate a wide variety of complex surgical procedures in a Level I Trauma center
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
• Holiday coverage required for any holiday falling within the contract period
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved in advance
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
