Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Colorado.

You will support a 41-OR unit, performing circulating and scrub activities across diverse surgical specialties while maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, CO or Compact required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required.
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required.
• At least one completed travel assignment required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Experience with circulating craniotomy cases.
• Skills across multiple surgical specialties including Gynecology, Plastics, Neurology, Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, and ENT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate in an OR unit with 41 ORs at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 06:45-19:15, with occasional float to 08:45 or 10:45 starts.
• Occasional floating to night shifts required, with a minimum of 3 night shifts per assignment.
• Floating to other OR locations as needed.
• Weekend coverage required per unit needs.
• On-call responsibilities as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Case types include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgeries.
• Provide circulating and scrub support across surgical specialties in a high-acuity trauma environment.
• Complete onboarding modules within first week of assignment.
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract with blackout periods around major holidays.
• No blocked scheduling requests.
• First-time travelers not considered.
• Travelers who completed a full year on a previous assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking.
• Candidates with recent internal applications to the facility's travel or staff positions within past two years will not be considered.
